Terms of Service

The Service
ZANTŌ is a personal record platform. You log focused work sessions: domain, duration, timestamp. The platform stores them permanently and returns them to you as a record of what you actually did. It is a subscription-based service.
ZANTŌ is available as a website at zanto.app and as an Android application. They are the same service and the same account; the app is a client for the record, not a separate product.
Subscription and Pricing
ZANTŌ costs $500 per year, excluding VAT. It is a recurring annual subscription that renews each year, not a one-time purchase, and it provides one printed edition of your record each year (see The Founding Edition and the Printed Record, below). VAT is calculated at checkout based on your location.
There is no free version and no free trial. Every account is a paid subscription from the start. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, you can request a full refund.
We may grant complimentary or evaluation access at our discretion — for example to testers, or to a store reviewer assessing the app. Such access is not a free tier, confers no ongoing entitlement, and may be withdrawn at any time.
The Founding Edition and the Printed Record
Your $500 subscription provides one printed edition of your record each year. Your record seals on 31 December, and the printed edition is produced from the sealed record and ships the following January.
One payment buys the next edition to seal. If you subscribe partway through a year, your payment entitles you to that year’s edition — the record as it stands when it seals on 31 December — and your subscription renews the following February. One payment, one edition.
Postage is covered by the subscription. We ship to the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada as standard, and elsewhere on request.
The printed edition reflects the work you actually logged. If you cancel before your record seals on 31 December, no edition is produced or shipped for that year.
[To be completed with counsel — not yet in force. The statutory right of withdrawal (EU/UK distance selling) as it applies to the printed edition. The wording here materially affects the withdrawal window and our exposure, so it is left open deliberately rather than guessed; it is the single unfinished clause in these Terms.]
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. ZANTŌ does not store your card details. VAT is added at checkout based on your billing location.
Subscriptions are bought and managed on zanto.app. The Android app sells nothing: it contains no purchase, no upgrade and no billing screen, and it is a sign-in only client for an account you already hold. If you installed the app from Google Play, Google is not a party to your subscription and is not the merchant of record.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
After that, your account becomes read-only. This is deliberate: your record does not disappear because you stopped paying. You can still open ZANTŌ, read every session and milestone you have logged, and export or delete them. What you cannot do is log new work until the subscription is active again.
Refunds are available within the first 30 days of a paid subscription. After 30 days, no refunds are issued.
Your Account
One account per person. You are responsible for the data you enter and the activity on your account.
Sign-in is passwordless. When you enter your email address we send one message containing a sign-in link and a six-digit code; either one signs you in, and both are single-use and short-lived. Treat that email as you would a password, and do not forward it.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings in the Android app or by emailing zanto.app@gmail.com from the account's address. Deletion erases your entire record — every session, milestone and note — and cancels any active subscription. It cannot be undone, and it is not a refund: see the refund terms above.
Acceptable Use
Use the platform for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, or interfere with the service. Do not use automated tools to access ZANTŌ without permission. Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or terminated.
Service Availability
We operate on a best-efforts basis. The platform may experience downtime for maintenance or unforeseen issues. We do not guarantee specific uptime percentages.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes will be resolved under Swedish jurisdiction.
